Four games we couldn't stop playing, and the arguments they caused.
Every six months we sit down, look at what actually got played, and argue about it until someone gives in. This round's list, the Half-Year Awards, isn't the games we meant to like more, or the ones with the nicest box art. It's the four that kept getting pulled back into rotation on a random Tuesday, which is a much harder bar to clear than anyone expects going in.
None of the four got in unopposed. Every pick has a dissent on record, a lobbying campaign behind it, or in one case a coin flip the losing side still refuses to recognize. We wrote the arguments down alongside the winners, because the arguments are the honest part.
